One more shawl

I need more yarn... maybe tomorrow.. problem is the only way to get nice yarn is to go 45 miles...

This is the latest shawl. I made this one a bit longer than usual. The yarn was so nice I just went until I had just enough left for the fringe. The color is "linen" which doesn't show up well with my inexpensive camera, but is the color of real linen, not beige but not tan.. very neutral.  I have someone in mind for this one but need to get an address.

I recently found a shawl I thought I had to get rid of, and was so happy. It is a lovely gray, and I made it in the lacy pattern and large enough to wrap up in. It was one of the first I made.

  2. Hello my new friend. We have a Walmart but their yarn is not as nice as some.. I have plenty to do for now.. one day my daughters and I will go to Hobby Lobby. They have beautiful yarns! Do you like shawls? I had you in mind as I made the linen colored one.. I'd love to send it to you if you would like it.. I know not everyone likes to wear shawls so please don't feel bad if you're one of them :) but if you like them I'd be happy to send it.. I have 4 made now.. I can't possibly wear them all! I sent one to Lady Lydia.. can't wait to hear how she likes it. My e-mail is titus2tealady@gmail.com if you would like it just send me your address.

  3. Hi Anita...thank you for popping over to my blog. I love your work! I cannot knit past a scarf and I can't crochet at all. I adore your work. Shawls are lovely. I used to use them all the time when I was younger. I wonder why we don't wear them anymore?

  4. Thank you! Would you like one? I have the dark blue one, and a pink one already made :) Am working on a red one and a pretty pink one.. I love making them and sharing! I think with driving shawls became a bit of a nuisance.. but I love them with dresses.. they don't bunch up like sweaters. Right now I have no heat so my mornings are spent wrapped up in one!

If you'd like one.. or one in any color, I'd be happy to send one along.. just e-mail me an address to titus2tealady@gmail.com

    God bless!

  6. No hurry dear. Whenever you get a chance. I have this one set aside for you. I will be out today with my daughter, hoping to visit the library and an antique mall I've been wanting to get to. I pass it every time I go to town, but it's no fun alone :) Need more buttons and hankies and linens.. well, really, probably only going to look! But with Myriah that's fun.

  7. Anita,
I am SO, SO blessed!! It came in the mail and we were just like little children on Christmas Day!! I am almost speechless that you would think of me, but I CAN really feel the prayer that went into it :) I got a letter off to you in the mail this morning. Our internet has been spotty, so I am not able to do much when I can get on :) I must say, you know how to bless others! I forgot to add something to the letter this morning, too, I'm just realizing it as I type right this moment!!
May the Lord bless you richly, and I am praying for you and your husband each day. *a big hug to you*

  8. Hi Anita, This is Charlotte. Just kept looking to see if I could find how to leave a comment. Since I am not too computer savvy it took me a while. I also see yours is set up to go through google or one of the other things that I know nothing about. It will show up as unknown, but since I told you it was me you will know. Hope you have had a good weekend.

    GOD BLESS!!!
