Shawls, shawls, shawls...

As I watch my Jane Austen movies.. I crochet.. I can't keep still :)

This is one of my favorite patterns. It can be made with light or heavy yarn and is so lacy and feminine.

I love making the granny square pattern.. this one goes so fast though that I find it is done in only a few nights.. or a couple movies :) It also can be made with any weight yarn, warm and cozy or light and pretty.

The internet is a wonderful resource. When I was looking for patterns 10 years ago I couldn't find many. Now I can search and come up with pages! I have a notebook printed out with so many I want to make. I have even started a knit one.. not as good at knitting so I hope I can keep it up.

I enoy making and wearing shawls..

  1. Dear Anita,
What a lovely blog you have! You are so very talented to make such gorgeous shawls! I am amazed (and impressed that you can remember it all!) at all the different patterns you have!!
    Blessings!

  2. Thank you for your kind words! I have been to your blog and spent a happy half hour there.. had to drag myself away! I love making shawls. They go fast. Would you like one? I used to make them and give them away as surprises, but then found out some women just are not "shawl ladies" so now I ask :) I enjoy the making. It keeps me busy when I must stop and sit.. I have a lovely one almost done in a linen color.. I also have the dark blue and pink ones in the photos!
